Gold from Australia's national mint will sparkle on Christmas trees around Australia with the prestigious Christmas Medallions by the Royal Australian Mint recently released, and just in time for the 2005 Christmas festivities.
Designed by one of Australia's premier artists, Peter Soobik, the special release for this year is the 'Journey to Bethlehem'. It is a classic image created by Peter. He has also prepared the designs for the next five years but they are a closely kept secret only released in November prior to Christmas. Each year the individually released design builds into a complete collection, allowing families to build a Tree of Memories.
The gold plated medallion has been minted by the Royal Australian Mint to exacting standards and is both a collectible item and a functional adornment. The Royal Australian Mint is pleased to announce the fifth release in their Tree of Memories Christmas Medallion series.
