This Joint issue between France-Belgium, joins together what the History separated: a dispute due to Rogier van der Weyden (Flemish name) or Roger of Pasture.

The virgin with the child, works localised with the Museum of the Beautiful-Art of Caen, belonged to a diptych whose right shutter, the portrait of Laurent Froimont, is with the royal Museum of the fine arts of Brussels. 

During its existence, Rogier van der Weyden was strongly influenced by its elder Jan van Eyck. Besides the bottom of the block takes again a detail of a work of this last: The Virgin of the Rolin Chancellor, preserved at the Museum of Louvre.
