This handsome Philatelic Numismatic Cover is the first ever to be issued by the Irish Post Office & combines both the new £1 coin and £1 definitive stamp.

The £1 stamp is from the new definitive series & features the exquisite Ardagh Chalice. The Chalice was discovered quite remarkably. After laying buried for almost a thousand years, it was unearthed in 1868 in a County Limerick field by a young boy digging for potatoes !

... The new £1 or punt coin features the customary Irish harp on the reverse & a magnificent stag on the obverse.
