To mark the Golden Jubilee of the Accession of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to the Throne, Jersey Post are pleased to issue this very Special Stamp. Featuring a famous Coronation portrait of Her Majesty taken by Cecil Beaton in 1953, the nature of the stamp's design demanded high quality production. 

The printing techniques of Cartor Security Printing of France have enabled Jersey Post to issue a classic stamp by becoming the first Postal Administration in the world to use 24 Carat Gold, 22 Carat Gold and 99.9% Silver in a Postage Stamp !!
