JOHANNES VERMEER.

Is one of the greatest painters of the Golden Age in the Netherlands. Many of his paintings, including Girl with a Pearl Earring, will be on display in the spectacular exhibition in the Royal Gallery of Paintings (The Mauritshuis) in The Hague from 1 March to 2 June 1996.

Vermeer probably painted Girl with a Pearl Earring, perhaps his most celebrated painting, in 1665.
